Excerpt #1

He leads me out of the party and across the hall, opens the door to an empty dorm room, turns on a lamp, then gently pushes me up against the door and kisses me.

Again, it’s a slow, soft, amazing kiss. The kind of kiss that makes me feel like he’s kissing my soul.

Oh my gosh. What the heck does that even mean? Kissing my soul? I’m seriously losing it here.

It’s official. Almost getting kidnapped has affected me. I definitely have some sort of post-traumatic stress thing, and the symptoms must include having irrational thoughts about Hottie Gods.

Aiden’s hands are very appropriately placed around my waist and are not moving.

Damn it, man.

Move your hands.

Kiss me with your tongue.

Take my shirt off.

Attack me already. Please! I can’t take it anymore.

But I don’t say any of that. I just savor each and every slow, amazing, and tongue-free kiss.

Maybe he was born without a tongue, I think for a brief second, but then I realize that I am dumb because he wouldn’t be able to talk if he had been, now would he?

He stops kissing me and looks deep into my eyes. I seriously should have guzzled a few shots the second I got here.

But I had no idea he would be here!

The way he’s looking at me is sorta unnerving but, at the same time, like the kiss, it electrifies me. His face is close to mine, but not so much that he is, like, blurry to look at. I figure if he can stare at me, then I can stare back.

And I take in every curve and angle of his face.

The way his jawline is flexing slightly. How his eyelashes are a dark, dark brown and curl upward. How he has a sexy teeny freckle just to the side of his left cheek. How his textbook lips are the exact color of the pale pink roses Tommy gave Mom for their anniversary, and how the sides of his mouth are turning up, starting to smile at me. He blinks slowly. When his eyes open, I study the emerald green of his irises, how they have little flecks of blue in them and maybe even a little gold around the edges. I feel like time is standing still again.

He slides his hands up into my hair and leans in to kiss me again. My body is trying to be good, but I can’t stop it from leaning into him. Melding to his body. I could stay this way forever.

He stops kissing me, looks deeply into my eyes again, and tells me he loves me.

Oh, wait.

He didn’t say that.

I just thought that.

Well, I thought his eyes told me that.

Shut up! It’s what it felt like.

And what the hell is with the going so slow? Does he not want to make out with me? Is he gay?

Finally he says, “You should probably go back and check on your friend. Those guys will get her drunk and take advantage of her.”

“We didn’t drink before we came. She can’t be drunk yet, and you promised me a drink.”

“Also, I don’t want people to notice we’ve been gone very long. They’ll think we’re having sex. We don’t want to ruin your reputation on your second day.”

“I think maybe you just don’t want to be alone with me. I don’t understand. You act like you’re all into me, but then we barely kiss.”

I get irritated and frustrated by this, but no way am I going to be the one to move things along.

And I thought he was a player.

So why isn’t he trying to play me? To use me? To take advantage of me?

I shoulda pretended to be drunk, maybe?

MY REVIEW

5 OF 5 SOUL SISTERS

Soul Sisters is a very interesting read. I have to say that the book grabbed me from the first page and kept me reading until the end. When I got to the end I needed to know what happens next but I will have to wait for book two. As I was reading this book two things stuck out to me, first what would you do for the love of your life? and second what would you do for your sister? These questions were answered for me as the story progressed and I loved how the author drew you in slowly giving you just enough info to hold you over to the next chapter where things started to come together.

Dana and Ani are twins soul sisters in every way. Dana is happily in love with her husband when tragedy strikes. She meets a guy Donovan who says he can help her husband but at a cost. Dana is so in love with her husband that she will do anything and agrees to Donovan's terms. Dana is about to find out that you don't make a deal with the devil unless you know what your getting into. What Dana gets in return is a twin a soul sister Ani.

Ani is nothing like Dana. Ani is adventurous and mischievous but she is a fierce protector of her sister. When Dana is attacked Ani kills the person who hurt her sister. What they don't realize is there is a witness and soon Donovan has sends word to kill the two sisters. Ani and Dana will have to fight Donovan and his minions. This is no easy task so Ani and Dana call for help. The fight that comes is crazy and swift and Dana and Ani will have to fight for their lives as well as the lives of their friends.

Will Ani and Dana be able to defeat Donovan? Will they lose their friends? Will they lose each other? This is a great read with lot's of action. This is a MUST read because it is totally different from the regular Vampire and Werewolf books I have read!

Excerpt:

Chapter 6

1915 New York City

Bryson and Dana walked arm and arm down the blustery New York street laughing about the Christmas party they had just left. The snow was fresh and powdery. Neither of them felt the icy cold snowflakes floating down and speckling their coats because they were wrapped in the warmth of each other’s company.

“Did you see how Charles acted after taking that last shot of whiskey?” Dana asked.

Bryson could not contain his laughter thinking about their friend’s drunkenness. Everyone who had been at the party was probably laughing about it on their way home, too, particularly the part when Charles took off his pants and danced on top of the piano. Bryson laughed so hard people gave them odd passing glances.

“Yes.” Bryson gave a bright smile and grabbed her face to kiss her as they stood in the middle of the sidewalk. He wanted people to stop and stare at his beautiful wife. He wasn’t afraid to show her off every chance he got. The women cooed softly at the sweetness of the moment while the men ushered their women forward murmuring about how indecent their public display of affection was for the community. Truthfully they just didn’t want their wives to get any ideas.

It took Dana a few seconds to catch her breath. She couldn’t believe he would do something that indecent in public. It didn’t matter to her, however, because it felt way too good to be wrong. They stepped off the curb without a care in the world; Dana held onto Bryson’s arm tightly and could not stop staring into his eyes.

A few seconds later Dana felt a sharp pain and a crushing blow to her arm. It was as if a freight train slammed into her right side. She instantly started sobbing from the pain and confusion of the situation. She felt like a block of ice was on top of her chest as she lay sprawled out on the ground. Her legs were straight out together in front of her but her arms were stretched out wide, going in two different directions. Her head turned slowly to the left when she heard a woman screaming and she saw Bryson on the ground with his eyes wide open. She blinked a few times to clear up her vision and then she spotted a pool of blood circling his head like a flowing halo.

Dana tried to push against the woman lying on top of her but the person was impossible to move no matter how hard she tried.

“You don’t want to see this, you’re safe now,” the woman said softly in her ear; she sounded just like her.

“Soul sister?” Dana asked as she felt herself losing consciousness. She heard the chaos of the world going on around her but then she slipped into a black void. When she came to in a small nearby hospital she was disoriented and feeling miserable. There was a dull ache in her head and the vision in her right eye was blurry. She thought she saw a petite woman standing in the doorway, maybe she knew what had happened to Bryson.

“Where is my Bryson? Is he OK? What happened?”

The woman walked over to the bed and placed a hand on her head. Dana could see the woman was wearing a nurse’s outfit and she guessed she was in a hospital. The woman’s hand felt ice cold against her burning flesh.

“I’m sorry to tell you, ma’am, but your husband was hit by a moving vehicle. He suffered a bad head injury and he is no longer alive. I am so sorry.”

“No, wait. We were just coming back from a Christmas party. When did this happen?”

“You stepped off the side walk with your husband, ma’am. Apparently you could not see the car and the car could not see you. A woman who looked oddly like you pushed you out of the way and saved your life. Your husband didn’t make it. I’m very sorry. Would you like some water or a cup of juice?”

“No, no, thank you. Can I see him at least?”

“Not now honey. I really think you should get some rest. There’s a young woman who is here to see you. She says she’s your sister. Are you ready to see her?”

Dana coughed deeply and felt a liquid build up in her throat that she quickly swallowed back down; she was afraid to see who it was.

“OK,” was all she could seem to get out of her throat.

Her soul sister quietly stepped into the room as she faced the wall. She didn’t want the woman to see her nervousness or confusion. As much as she wanted to hug her sister she also wanted to punch her.

“Why didn’t you save my husband?” Dana asked choking back tears but keeping a straight face. As the tears filled up her eyes, her cheeks began to sting and swell

“The car came so fast. I didn’t have time to save you both. I’ve seen you with Bryson before and I know how much you loved him, I’m so very sorry.”

“What is your name?” Dana asked, sitting up against the pillow.

“Ani,” She said softly.

“Ani, I don’t think I want to live much longer. I sold my soul to save my husband’s life and Donovan took him away from me. I really don’t see any reason to live anymore.”

Ani sat down in a chair and moved closer to the side of the bed. She placed her hand on Dana’s head and felt that she had a slight temperature. She would notify a nurse as soon as she left the room. Ani loved her sister and if her sister died then she died too.

“Donovan had nothing to do with what happened. Your husband’s time came up again and he was taken. Donovan didn’t order his death. I’m sure he is very concerned about this and knows how much this hurts you. He is good at feeling things like this.”

“Your kind feels? You don’t want me to kill myself because then you will die too. Frankly, I don’t care what happens to you right now. You’re such a small fragment of me; I don’t even think you’re real. This is just a bad nightmare. I’ll wake from it; I’ll be at home warm and safe with my parents. Bryson never actually existed and I sure as hell know you don’t either.”

Dana turned her head back to the wall and let the tears flow freely down her face. She placed her hand over her mouth to stifle the cries; her heart felt like it had broken into a million pieces. Now, she couldn’t live for anybody else but herself. Dana saw the look of despair in her sister’s face but it wasn’t enough for her to let her soul sister into her life.

“I’ll never turn my back on you when you need me, no matter how far away you are or how much danger you’re in. I know we’re supposed to be twins but I feel like you’re my baby sister.” She gave a light chuckle and then headed for the door. “I’ll be back to visit you tomorrow, and the next day and the next day. Even if you never want to see me it’s OK, but I’m not going to be without you any longer. I love you way too much.”

“I don’t care if you come back a million times. I will never talk to you again. Get the hell out of my room!” Dana threw a glass at Ani’s head. Ani moved her head slightly to the left as it flew into the wall and shattered into tiny pieces. She took a deep breath and nodded her head up and down slowly; she had to give her more time. Ani had been programmed to take on the evil ways of the world but Dana’s rose-colored glasses had just been stepped on.

Excerpt:

The 2nd book in the Black Cat Records Shakespeare inspired series has more MUSIC, more ROMANCE, and much, much, more STEAM...

A lone spotlight illuminated JR as he began to lay down a heavy beat. Strobes flashed as Avery stepped out from behind the black curtain to meet Marcus at center stage. He reached for her, but she leaned away, just out of reach. She winked at him and smiled at the audience. The crowd roared their approval...For Sam, the spotlight stayed on JR. She didn't notice anyone else. Frenetic, yet fluid, he flailed away on the drums like a madman, a modern day Keith Moon. His sticks spun like twin rotator blades on a Chinook helicopter, and his knees moved up and down, pistons pounding out a rhythm.

Her whole body came alive at the first touch of his warm lips on hers, the tender way he‘d looked at her the moment before a tantalizing preview of the gentle way he was devouring her lips now

An anticipatory thrill ran down her spine as Chris Alex stalked her. Sara cast her gaze around the room, trying to avoid gaping at his naked torso. No use. Pupils dilated, her eyes followed the trail of brown hair down to the point where it tapered and disappeared into the waistband of his low hanging jeans. Oh, no. Wrong place to look. Look up. Look up. Icy fire ran through her veins. She licked her dry lips and nervously balled up her hands...

Excerpt 1:

“Hi, Colin,” She replied, and started to walk around him.

“Wait,” Colin exclaimed, putting his hand on her arm to stop her from walking away. “Can’t we talk?”

Briana looked pointedly at his hand and then up at his face, not saying anything until he removed it.

“We don’t have anything to talk about, Colin.” Briana said, hoping her face looked bored, because her nerves were bouncing all over the place. “Besides, I’m working.”

“Looks like you’re on break,” he replied. “C’mon, Bree, just give me a couple minutes.”

Briana was about to tell him to shove it, when she felt someone come up behind her and two strong arms wrapped around her from behind.

“Hey, Babe, I’ve been wondering if Pam was ever gonna give you a break.” Kent whispered in her ear

He said it loud enough for Colin to hear, and Briana notice him stiffen at Kent’s words and his obvious familiarity.

“Yeah, I’ve got a quick one,” Briana turned and gave him a grateful look, before going up on his tip toes to meet him for a kiss.

She thought she heard a grunt or something come from Colin, so she turned to give him a smile and an introduction.

“Oh, sorry,” she said, not the least bit sorry. “Kent, this is Colin, we went to high school together. Colin, this is Kent.”

MY REVIEW

Where to start with this review..... Well most of you who know me know I love to read and I don't stick to one genre. I love to skip around and when I had the opportunity to read this book I was excited! As I started reading the book I realized that I had no clue what the heck was going on and I had no clue what a geocacher is so I decided I had to look it up. I did and what I found is a geocacher is someone who hunts down hidden objects. It is a game and you log on with the username you chose and then you get clues as to where to find the things and once you find them you come back and document that you found it.

Okay so that part covered check but there was so much I did not understand and I could not follow it. I read it all to the end though because there was a murder mystery in it and I needed to know who did it and why. But for the life of me I just could not get into this book. With that being said is the book bad HELL NO it is a boook that is just not for me. I read it and enjoyed some of it but for the most part I was lost because I was out of my reading element.

This book is for people who love things like geocaching and video games. You can really get into hunting down what you need. So I am not rating this book because to me it would not be fair to the author. She did an excellent job writing the book and hooking people in. Like I said this book is for those who love this stuff and know about it and can appreciate the story line.

Happy Reading!

One Pink Line by Dina Silver Blog Tour Stop

Author: Dina Silver
Title: One Pink Line
Release date: Nov. 2011

Goodreads:
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12988846-one-pink-line

Book Description:

Can the love of a lifetime be forever changed by one pink line? Dina Silver's tender, absorbing novel, One Pink Line, is the warmhearted, wry story of love, loss and family, as seen through the prism of one singular, spirited young couple who find themselves in a predicament that changes the course of their lives, and those closest to them. With heart, humor and compassion, this debut work of women's fiction is certain to stir anyone who relishes a good laugh, can stand a good cry, and, above all believes in the redemptive power of love.

This unique, contemporary story gives readers a dual perspective. Sydney Shephard, a sweet-tempered, strong-natured college senior is young, in love with an exceptional man, and unexpectedly pregnant. Faced with a child she never planned for, she is forced to relay this news to her neurotic mother, relinquish her youth, and risk losing the love of her life. Then there's Grace, a daughter, who believed she was a product of this great love, grows to realize her existence is not what she assumed, and is left with profound and puzzling questions about who she really is.

Spanning generations and every imaginable emotion, One Pink Line reveals how two points of view can be dramatically at odds, and perhaps ultimately reconciled. Simultaneously deeply felt and lighthearted, One Pink Line deftly mines how the choices we make are able to alter so many lives, and how doing the right thing and living honestly can bring unexpected, hard-won happiness. It's a must-read for anyone who craves a great love story, absorbing characters, and plenty of laughs along the way.

MY REVIEW

5 OF 5 ONE PINK LINE

I would like to thank ATOMR Blog Tours for allowing me to be a part of this tour. I have to say that One Pink Line was a roller coaster read for me. Told in a dual point of view I loved reading the mother's point of view and then the daughter's point of view.

Sydney had it all. She is a senior in college and has the best boyfriend ever. She has friends and is living the college life. That is until she is in her senior year and her and her boyfriend are doing the long distance dating. Not sure if this is what she wants she goes out to a party where she makes the biggest mistake of her life. She has the drunken sex with her friend and becomes pregnant. When she tells him things start to go south plus she needs to tell her boyfriend back home. What is a girl to do?

Then you hear from Grace who is Sydney's daughter. She is a teenager and going through all her teenage things like boys, school and hormones. As Grace tells her story you get to see where Grace has to make decisions like her mother had to when she was that age. Boys, friends and family are all at the forefront for Grace and she will have to work through these issues.

This story tugged at my heart so much because when a girl gets pregnant her life changes but the boy never has to change. He will either be there or he will not. What happens to Sydney and Grace is a wonderful story I love and the ending was the best ever!

The Flesh Cartel #1: Capture (The Flesh Cartel #1) & The Flesh Cartel #2: Auction (The Flesh Cartel #2) by Rachel Haimowitz & Heidi Belleau Book Review

In this first installment of the exciting new psychosexual thriller, The Flesh Cartel, orphaned brothers Mat and Dougie Carmichael are stolen in the night from their own home. Taken to a horrifying processing facility, they are assessed, microchipped, and subjected to unspeakable brutality—all in preparation for sale to the highest bidder.

In a world where every person has a price, the beautiful and subduable PhD student Dougie is highly prized. His brother, a rough-edged MMA fighter, is less desirable—and potentially too dangerous—but he still has his own appeal.

Abused and locked up under round the clock surveillance, with no idea where they are or even why they’ve been taken, escape seems impossible, which leaves staying together their only hope. And after being separated once by the foster system, they'll do anything to keep it from happening again. Anything at all.

MY REVIEW

5 OF 5 CAPTURED

*** THIS BOOK HAS MATURE NATURE TO IT. THIS IS 18+ PLEASE BEWARE THAT THERE IS RAPE AND HEAVY SEXUAL SITUATIONS IN THIS BOOK ***

First I want to give you some background on this new series. This new series by Riptide Publishing is called Serial Fiction where there is several Novella's to the story. I have to say that this idea is totally brilliant because it keeps the reader on the edge of your seat and needing more and wondering when the next Novella is coming out.

In Capture we meet the Mat and Doug Carmichael. These brothers are all each other has in this world and Mat the oldest one will do anything to protect his younger brother Doug. So Mat fights in the ring for money so he can support Doug so Doug can go to school and not have to work. Doug is working on his Masters degree and trying to take care of Mat when he gets home from fighting but as Mat being the oldest does not allow Doug to take care of him.

As Mat is fighting he is getting his ass kicked in the ring and he realizes that he is going to have to do something because no money means Doug will worry and that Mat does not want. He wants Doug to focus on school and nothing more. But this fight is taking him to the brink and as Mat loses this fight all he can think about is Doug and what will happen when he goes home all battered and bruised. But what Mat does not realize is that someone has been watching him and Doug and when he gets home he is in for the surprise of a lifetime.

Doug is at school and he can't study so he decides to come home early and wait for Mat to come home after the fight. What he gets in return when he goes home will scar him for life. He is home and showering when he hears the door. He thinks it is Mat coming home early but when he gets out of the shower he is met by several men in black. He is scared to death and has no idea what is going on but he soon finds out that they are there for and it is him. What happens next was shocking to me as I read it because they rape and beat Doug and force him to do unspeakable acts with other men. Yes you read right men on men sex and sexual activities. I will say this if you have a weak stomach DO NOT READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The story gets in depth and what unfolds can only be described as scary and horrific. Doug will have to learn to do unspeakable sexual acts in order to survive and Mat will take sexual abuse and batter in order for Doug not to have to suffer. This is a compelling beginning to this serial fiction and I can't wait to see what happens to Mat and Doug. This novella had me crying and cringing and wanting more.
In episode two of The Flesh Cartel, the dark purpose behind Mat and Dougie Carmichael’s abduction is revealed. Though Dougie is protected from the worst of the guards’ brutality, he’s disgusted to find himself halfway to broken—despairing of escape and terrified of pain. Mat holds onto hope despite repeated rapes and beatings, but threats toward his brother teach him well to lay aside his pride and pick his battles carefully.

Worn down by days of unrelenting fear and abuse, Mat and Dougie are packaged and marketed with the same ruthless efficiency as any consumer product: Dougie the prettyboy twink, Mat the rabid pit bull. They are led to the auction block as the showpiece of the house’s collection.

Mat would rather be beaten to death than play the role of obedient slave for sale, but Dougie, desperate not to be separated from his brother, strikes a deal with the pitiless Madame who runs the auction house and controls both their fates. It might just be enough to keep them together—slaves, but together—assuming Mat even wants to be after Dougie fulfills his end of his deal with the devil.

MY REVIEW

5 OF 5 AUCTIONED

*** THIS BOOK HAS MATURE NATURE TO IT. THIS IS 18+ PLEASE BEWARE THAT THERE IS RAPE AND HEAVY SEXUAL SITUATIONS IN THIS BOOK ***

In this continuation to The Flesh Cartel this second serial is Auction. In Captured we read about Mat and Doug being kidnapped and being brought to Madam. Madam is going to make lot's of money from Doug and Mat. She has decided that they will be sold together as a pair because Doug has begged her to keep them together. Mat and Doug have suffered lots of sexual abuse at the hands of the guards and Mat wants to protect Doug at all costs and what he does is remarkable and can only be described as a brothers true love. Mat is forced to take a night stick up his anus because they want to hurt Doug but the can't touch his anus on his mouth. They refer to the brothers as "HOLES" because they have holes that can be fucked.

Doug decides he is going to cooperate with the guards so they don't hurt him. So everyday all day he gives blow jobs and acts like a drone in order to stay alive. At one point Mat and Doug decide they are going to die because they rather be dead then living and dealing with the things they are dealing with. In Auction they are primped and prepped to be sold to the highest bidder. Then Madam asks to speak to Doug alone and she warns him not pull any funny stuff when he gets out there on the podium to be sold. She asks him if he can take fucking and sucking off over twenty men and Doug agrees as long as they don;t hurt Mat. She agrees but when he is screaming from the sexual torture they put him through Mat loses it and gets lose and beats the hell out of the men.

Doug had promised the madam that they would behave and he is worried about what is going to happen to him and Mat know that Mat has beaten the shit out of the men. It does not matter because they have a buyer and the buyer has his own plans and that is to divide and conquer. Mat and Doug are going to be separated in order to break them down and the new master has his own agenda in mind and that is he wants Mat more the Doug. He will take care of Mat and Doug will be brought somewhere else where he will have to fend for himself.

Lord this series is really twisted but it is like a train wreck where you can't walk away you have to watch. Well that is what this series is a train wreck just waiting and watching and wondering what is going to happen to Doug and Mat. Plus I am so excited I don't have to wait long for the third book because it comes out in January 2013.

Easy by Tammara Webber Book Review

A girl who believes trust can be misplaced, promises are made to be broken, and loyalty is an illusion. A boy who believes truth is relative, lies can mask unbearable pain, and guilt is eternal. Will what they find in each other validate their conclusions, or disprove them all?

When Jacqueline follows her longtime boyfriend to the college of his choice, the last thing she expects is a breakup two months into sophomore year. After two weeks in shock, she wakes up to her new reality: she's single, attending a state university instead of a music conservatory, ignored by her former circle of friends, and failing a class for the first time in her life.

Leaving a party alone, Jacqueline is assaulted by her ex's frat brother. Rescued by a stranger who seems to be in the right place at the right time, she wants nothing more than to forget the attack and that night--but her savior, Lucas, sits on the back row of her econ class, sketching in a notebook and staring at her. Her friends nominate him to be the perfect rebound.

When her attacker turns stalker, Jacqueline has a choice: crumple in defeat or learn to fight back. Lucas remains protective, but he's hiding secrets of his own. Suddenly appearances are everything, and knowing who to trust is anything but easy.

MY REVIEW

5 OF 5 EASY

Easy is a New Adult book and man oh man is this book EPIC! I have to say that lately I have been reading more and more New Adult books and the more I read them the more I fall in love with the Genre. This new genre is going to take the young adults transitioning into college kids by storm. I find I love a story told in the college seen because a lot kids go to college and have no idea what they are getting into. When i went to college I remember the first frat party I attended lord I saw more things that I had ever seen in my life and the shock was mild because the other parties were worse.

This is a story about a girl in love who follows her high school boyfriend to college although she does not want to be there. They do okay at first but Kennedy and Jacqueline are about to find out what happens when you let outside influences come between the person you love. Kennedy loves Jacqueline but he is in a fraternity and he wants to sew his oats before he becomes a politician like his family expects him to. So Kennedy decides to break it off with Jacqueline to come and go as he pleases. At first Jacqueline is devastated but she decides she needs to move on.

Her best friend is going to the frat party that her ex-boyfriend belongs to for Halloween and Jacqueline does not really want to go but she decides she will humor her friend. Once there she starts having fun until Buck one of Kennedy's frat buddies decides he wants Jacqueline and will take no for an answer. Only Jacqueline does say no and he follows her out to her car where he tries to rape her and she is saved by Lucas. Lucas kicks Buck's ass which I loved because no means no dammit! So Jacqueline is grateful for him being there and the next day in class she realizes he is in the same class as her.

As she and Lucas get closer Kennedy decides he wants her back but Jacqueline decides she wants to move on. She wants to start a fresh clean slate and does not want anything to do with the frat. To make her case even stronger against Kennedy when she tells him that Buck tried to rape her he does not believe her. What a tool Kennedy is.

I have to say that this story tore at my heart because it dealt with rape and death and learning to heal. When someone is so broken how do they heal? Well Lucas and Jacqueline and Kennedy will learn that they will have to heal themselves before they can move on. Sometimes it is better to walk away forever rather than try and stay and make something what it is not.
I write romantic Mature Young Adult / New Adult fiction.

EASY is my newest contemporary stand-alone novel. BETWEEN THE LINES is my contemporary series. Available on:Amazon, Amazon UK, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, iBookstore, IndieBound, and the Book Depository.

Reading was one of my first and earliest loves, and writing soon followed. My first book was about a lost bear, but my lack of ability as an illustrator convinced me to abandon that effort and concentrate on passing 3rd grade. I wrote sad romantic poetry in high school and penned my first half-novel when I was 19, for which I did lots of research on Vikings (the marauders, not the football team). It was accidentally destroyed when I stuffed it into the shredder at work.

Addictions: coffee and Cherry Garcia frozen yogurt. Also baby carrots, but not with coffee or frozen yogurt, because that would be disgusting. I love shopping for earrings, because they always fit - even if I occasionally forget to work out. I'm a hopeful romantic who adores novels with happy endings, because there are enough sad endings in real life.

Representation: Jane Dystel of Dystel & Goderich handles all questions regarding subsidiary rights for any of my work. Please direct inquiries regarding foreign translation and film rights availability to her.

Review copies/Interview requests: For Easy (North America), please contact my publicists: Rosanne Romanello orErin Galloway. I've filled all budgeted (US) review requests for Between the Lines, Where You Are and Good For You. For all books (UK / Commonwealth), please contact: Jayde Lynch (Press Officer, Penguin Group, UK).

Writing/Self-Publishing Advice: Any success I've enjoyed as an author can be attributed to a combination of hard work, blind luck, and fantastic emotional support. As much as I'd like to, I don't have time to write back to everyone who asks me questions about my journey as an author. Most questions are answered in this post: Indie Writing FAQs.

Reader FAQs: No, I don't plan to write any more stories centered on Graham and Emma or Lucas and Jacqueline. Here's why: Love May Make the World Go 'Round... But Conflict Makes a Novel Go 'Round. Questions concerning anything answered on this page or in one of the referenced posts will likely be ignored, due to the fact that I have a book or two to write. :)
