Synopsis:

Up and coming football hero, Colton Michaels, makes a Hail Mary pass one night in the college locker room that results in the hottest, sexiest five days of his young life. However, interference after the play has him hiding his past and burying his future in the bottom of a bottle. While Colt seems to have it all, looks can be deceiving, especially when you’re trapped so far in a closet that you can’t see your way out. When ten years of living his expected fast-lane lifestyle lands him engaged to his manipulative Russian supermodel girlfriend, he decides it’s time to call a new play.

Jace Montgomery single-handily built the largest all-star cheerleading gym in the world, driven by a need to forget a life-altering encounter with a handsome quarterback a decade ago. His reputation as an excellent coach, hard-nosed business man, and savvy entrepreneur earned him respect in the sometimes catty world of competitive cheerleading. When Jace learns of his ex-lover’s plans to marry, his heart executes a barrel roll and his carefully-placed resolve tumbles down without a mat to absorb the shock. Can his island escape help him to finally let go of the past and move his life forward?

My Review

5 of 5 Colt and Jace

HOLY MOTHER LOVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my first book that I have read by Kindle and guess what this will not be the last. I fell in love with this book right from the start. Right from the very first page to the last and I could not put this book down. Lord have mercy I went through so many emotions while reading this book. I have have never hated a character like I hated Colt's father. I mean talk about an arse hole he was the biggest one alive and poor Colt lord have mercy on Colt because he wanted to please his father but no matter what he did he was not going to please him.

Colt is the star quarterback at The University Of Texas and he is considered a God by everyone. He is so talented on the field that he is definitely going to the NFL. But you know that expression don't judge a book by it's cover well that is so perfect for Colt because yes he is drop dead gorgeous and the star of every girls wet dreams and he is sweet and a great friend but deep down in Colt's spirit he is keeping a huge secret that would crush him if he were to reveal it. Colt is gay and is in love with the head cheerleader of the cheer team. But there is no way Colt can be with a guy because first off his father would kill him and secondly he would kill his career because let's face it folks people are still scared and prejudiced when it comes to gays and that is a shame because love is love and it knows no boundaries or creeds or races or gender love knows what it wants and when it wants it and soon Colt is about to go down a dark road before he discovers there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Jace lord have mercy I loved me some Jace because he is gay and a cheerleader. He loves Colt from afar admiring him and secretly lusting after him. Then one day Colt approaches Jace when they are alone and they share the most intimate time together that rocks Jace to the core. He never knew Colt was gay but to find out Colt knows everything about him and wants him scares the living shit out of Jace because Jace is an open gay guy and doesn't give a shit what people think or what they do and he knows that Colt is not open and may never be. They spend a week together and that week has sealed it for Jace because he knows he loves Colt and will do anything for him. Jace is in too deep to walk away but sometimes you have to let people sink before they swim and in this case Jace will walk away from the only man he has ever loved and has his heart because Jace does not do closet relationships.

Colt and Jace have a rough start with their relationship and Colt will go through some serious shit but he will have to decide if doing what everyone else wants is worth it or following his heart is worth it. Colt and Jaces story is not pretty and there were times when I cried no balled my eyes out but in the end I loved Jace and Colt all the more because there story is ugly and painful and hurtful and every thing in between but it is there story and what started in the beginning as Colt being curious about Jace ends so much better. This is a must MUST MUST READ! Kindle you are an EFFING ROCK STAR!

Favorite Quotes:

“Let me tell you what I am sure of, what I want. I want you to fuck me tonight. I want you inside me. It’s my first time, but I know I liked your finger in my ass when we made out in the locker room. How do you feel about that?”

“No, I just need a minute, that’s all. I’ve thought about this night for a long time. I want this, and I want it with you.” Colt kissed Jace’s lips, a smile spread across his face. “I plan on doing this often. Just be gentle with me, or not. Whatever.” And with that, Colt gave a devilish smirk, winked, and turned on his heel, not bothering to look back as he stepped inside the bathroom.

“You’re so freaking hot, Michaels. As much as I love watching you suck my thumb, I have bigger plans for you. I wanna show you how good this can be. I need to be buried balls deep inside you, and I will be, but I want you good and relaxed before we start.”

“I’m not gonna say it now, but I hope you see where I’m going with this. I want the promise of someday from you. That’s all I’m asking, Jace.”

I love you, Jace. I always have, and through all my mistakes, I wanted you to know I’ve never said that to anyone else. Only you.”

I’m willing to spend the rest of my life showing you how much you mean to me. I’ll work every single day to be the man you deserve, but let me make love to you tonight. Let me know what it’s like to feel you again. Please.

“I love you,” Colt declared against Jace’s lips. He truly meant those three little words. There had never been any doubt in his mind Jace was the only man for him.

“I love you, too.” Jace made Colt smile. He’d waited so long to hear those words from this man. Too long.

“I’ve never gotten over you. Ever. Not one day passed that I didn’t think about you. For me, you’re the love of my life. Wherever you are is exactly where I want to be,”

“But it’s forever for me.”

“I’ll be waiting on you,” Jace whispered

About The Author:

Best Selling, and newly award winning (whooo hooo!) Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica. It’s always a surprise to see what’s coming next! Happily married with too many children, and dogs, living in the suburbs of Dallas.

Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life – I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations – regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal… I don’t want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I’m going to tell you about Kindle.

I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I’ll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died – weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn’t have to be alone.

That time in my life was terrible. It’s everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.

Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness – it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. it never happened.

Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to meet my writing partner. I would have never gotten through those dark days without her unwavering support and guidance. There wasn’t a time she wasn’t there for me. For the first time I used the hand offered. I know without question I wouldn’t be here today without her. It takes a special person to come stand beside someone at a time like that. I will love her forever. I could go on and on about both of them, but I won’t and now you know a little more About Me.
